Not at the Mall

When Mrs. Brock, from in Bangkok,
Gave Mr. Brock a call,
It was a shock that Mr. Brock
Did not expect at all.
Said Mr. Brock when he could talk,
“So you’re not at the mall?”

Said Mrs. Brock, “That’s such a crock,
What is it with you guys?
You take no stock in when we talk
And then you feign surprise.”
“No need to mock. I thought,” said Brock,
“That you were buying ties.”

So here we see a lesson we
As husbands can’t ignore.
When spouses shout, “I’m going out.”
It’s best to ask, “What for?”
For Tie Land’s not, as some had thought,
A discount strip mall store.
