Heather's 29th birthday poem

Happy 29th

I will sing you Happy Birthday and the words, you know I mean ‘em
But what makes our birthdays happy are the days that come between ‘em
All your days this year were brimming with such laughter, joy and drama-
You have made your Dad a Grandpa and you made yourself a Momma.
You have bought a house and traveled, but what’s most surprising, maybe,
Is you got both Bruce and hubby dear making goo-goo eyes at baby.
As expansive as your life was, you have managed to expand it.
If you keep this rhythm next year, I don’t know if I can stand it.
So Happy All-the-days-between, that your birthdays bring together,
And for your 29th of course, have a Happy Birthday, Heather.
