Where is Eric Hiding?

Now, where is Eric hiding?
Just look and you will see.
He's hiding in America
It's plain as plain can be.

Between Am on the west
And a there on the east.
Poor Eric isn't hidden,
Not in the very least.

But still, nobody sees him,
Nor sees us, by the way.
(Though we're not in America,
We're in the USA.)
