Dad posted this to MyFamily.com:
I just came across this piece of poem on the back of an envelope, like most of my bits and pieces of poems. Don't remember exactly when it dates from, or if I have posted it before. My apologies if you've already seen it (but since I still feel the same way about Jillian, why not post it again?)
Sleep sweetly, sweet Jillian, soft on the bed.
No dreams of tomorrow to trouble your head.
The world and its worries are not for your eyes--
Oh, sleep to the tune of your heart's lullabies.
Sleep on through the sun as the new day it greets,
The shape of your dreaming still pressed to the sheets.
Who knows what sweet worlds will unfold to your sight?
Sleep sweetly, sweet Jillie. We love you, good night.
