When you were born, the sun blew the horn
In the happiest birthday tune.
All the stars joined in on the violin
And the moon was a big bassoon.
When you were one, the magical sun
Played a beautiful gold trombone
While the stars all danced and the moon, entranced,
Was a silvery slide trombone.
When you were two, the moon played kazoo
In a giggly, funny phase.
And the stars just swayed as the music played
And the sun stayed in bed for days.
What will it be this year when you're three?
I am sure of only one thing.
When I think of you as I always do
I will hear the heavens sing.
When I think of you as I always do
I will hear the heavens sing.
